With technology making it easier for anybody with a CD Burner and GarageBand to dub themselves a "band," the playing field has become saturated to the point that legitimate experienced acts struggle to book shows. At the same time many venues are becoming wary of their MySpace inbox, many resorting to excplicitly forbid booking requests via social networking sites.
